A book born after the Conversations held in Boston in October 2011...

Those who join the Conversations on Follett held in Boston in October 2011 certainly remember two really exciting and rich days. Albie Davis, Jennifer Jones-Patulli, François Héon and I met at this meeting. After this meeting came discussions, and then a common desire to contribute to the dissemination of Follett’s ideas. This common desire, this common purpose should I say, lead us to gather in one book the most refreshing quotes Follett wrote. By working on this project, we, the editors, had…See More

What brings you to Follett?
Readings about management basics. My pHD was about what is called in France "concertation" which has no english translation; one possible equivalent could be "participative decision-making". I have heard few things about Follett's concept of integration. I decided to go further . Since I began to read Follett's writtings, my whole vision of participative decision-making has been completely renewed.

An attempt to connect Mary Parker Follett and Oliver Sheldon

Sonia and I have worked on an attempt to connect Oliver Sheldon and Mary Parker Follett's work. You can read the result of our study in the Journal of Management History (http://www.emeraldinsight.com/doi/full/10.1108/JMH-04-2017-0023)

Oliver Sheldon has been working at the Rowntree & Co in the 1920's. He wrote a book about the "Philosophy of Management" in 1923 that has been read by…

Sebastien, good day! I humbly submit 10 pages of my script. This performance was originally written for an audience that does not know Follett but I believe it is still relevant and will evoke learning and inspiration in the conference attendees. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Thank you so much for the opportunity to submit this.

Humbly and gratefully, Lecia
