Welcome new countries:  Since my last count, found someplace on this forum, when we were under 300 members, we've added two new countries to our list:  Senegal and Nepal.  

How many countries to go?  I'd be interested in other members thoughts on this question, but here is one answer:  196 - 54 =  142  This answer comes from About.com: Geography: Capitals of Every Independent Country on Earth with their Capital City or Cities.
