Hi Rosa,

I believe I "found" Follett, because I needed her--her wisdom, her point of view informed by her gender, and so much more. Yet, like you, most of my experience came before the theory. More on that later.

I just wanted to say hello and also say that I too found, when working the the court system with many "appointed for life leaders" in a rigid bureaucracy, it was always important to "validate" the perspective of the judges and clerks who felt they already "did" mediation and then slowly and together differentiate the ways that mediation without the "power of the robe or office" could accomplish outcomes in a way not possible under typical court rules and culture. I'm saying this awkwardly, but hope you get the gist. Thanks, Albie Davis
