Mary's views on employee participation (industrial democracy); organisational behaviour that enables non-coercive power sharing based on the concept of power with rather than power over; leadership and governance that is participative (inclusive); her value of community based action and leadership. As a sociologist I consider these attributes vital for living and thriving as a global citizen in the 21st century.
