i believe she had a great impact on very many firms today that probably would not be as stable as they are today.

I like your question, "how her theories can be applied to organizations today." It made me ask myself how are organizations today different than they were in her time. Or are they different? And then I wondered how you might answer that question from your own experience.
I worked in the Massachusetts court system for 16 years. Massachusetts being one of the 50 states in the United States of America.
While there were many "organization charts," their hierarchical arrangements never captured the reality on the ground, and never shed and light on our mission, who we were to serve, or how to we could function effectively and morally. In other words, one could ask if we even were an "organization." "Disorganization" seemed more accurate.
I like the way that Follett's fluid thinking forces one to find the reality of each situation rather than using false structures that lead to static results. She once said something to the effect that some ideas "are dead upon arrival."
Sorry I took so long to respond. I hope you are still out there checking the Follett network now and then. Albie Davis
Good day,
I picked interest in you after going through your short profile and demanding it is necessary for me to write to you immediately. I have something very important to discuss with you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on (ronmorri01@gmail.com) for full details.
Best regards,
Ronald Morris.
