What brings you to Follett?
Interest in her theories, the way she connects theory to practice. Also, I think she influenced, perhaps even directly, what was happening in the Bloomsbury Group.

    Welcome, Jeanne,

I'm very interested in your thoughts about Follett's influence on the Bloomsbury Group.  When first learning about Follett (for me, 1989), there was so little out I followed every lead, even got a small grant from the Ella Lyman Cabot Foundation to trace Follett's steps in London as a girl and later when she lived with Dame Katharine Furse, who was a girlhood friend of Virginia Woolf.  Dame Katharine was amazing!

I took I considered a fascinating side trip along the way, reading all about Furse's father, John Addington Symonds, and so on.  What an amazing time and group.  But, I guess I wasn't looking for Follett's influence upon the group, just her connection through Furse.  I would love to hear more about your thoughts on this idea, which would be a cool twist to explore.  Most of my "discoveries" have come from following down intuitive leads, so I find them fruitful, even when they lead to something a little different than I was looking for
