The Mary Parker Follett Network

Unity, not uniformity, must be our aim. - MPF

Hello all,

i have recently discovered this network which is indeed very helpful about my research for Mary Parker Follett.I would like to ask where i could find information about MPF biography and especially what were her ideas about education.

Thank you for reading and thanks in advance for your help

Dan - You might start with Follett's "The Student-Teacher Relation," which is posted along with many of her other works as one of the earliest Forum topics. Also, in her book The New State, check out the chapter called "Education for the New Democracy" (I think that's what it was called). Other than that, one might infer that she'd favor Dewey's ideas of experiential and community-centered education. Don't know if they ever met, though. - Matthew
