Hi Ann, your "Racing Girls" site is tres cool! Do I dare let my 49 year old daughter, who is an ardent mountain-biker see this site? I noticed all the Follett books under the citations of the Thesis. I have yet to read it all. Books, articles, circle my bed like planes waiting to land at t busy airport. But, I would love to hear more about your site and your videos. I did the the delightful graphics video, but wondered if there is more? Warmly, Albie

Hey, Ann,

I finally started to read your thesis.  I'm really enjoying it.  You are a VERY good writer!  It's flowing nicely.  Burns seems quite an interesting person.  I worked for the court system in Massachusetts and we had our conferences for Judges out in Williamstown, so, the terrain in which he worked seems familiar.  But, now I'm going to listen to President Obama's State of the Nation address and then go to bed.  More later.  Albie

Hi Ann, Thought of you when I saw this story about Dancia Patrick

The 30-year-old driver makes history as the first woman to secure the top spot going into the Daytona 500 race.

and Patrick says:

"I was brought up to be the fastest driver, not the fastest girl," she said. "That was instilled in me from very young, from the beginning."

Thanks Albie,  great share.  Me too, I was raised with being the best as a person.  I was given the chance to experience many activities and sports growing up, some considered mainly for 'boys'.  I consider myself very lucky.
