What brings you to Follett?
Research on leadership styles. I just discovered that Follett introduced the concept of transformational leadership. I read in a 2012 leadership textbook that James MacGregor Burns had coined the term. I am disturbed that Follett was never credited.

Hi Jame's M,

I totally understand the "Why the heck didn't I know about Follett," feeling, which I felt in 1989 upon "meeting Follett" in the field of Conflict Resolution.

The good news is that in several fields Follett is being honored by having awards made in her name, or, in the case of  your field, the International Leadership Association (lila), of which I am not a member, but found because I was looking for Follett awards, they gave the 2011 annual Lifetime Achievement Award to MARY PARKER FOLLETT.  Here's their opening line:

Mary Parker Follett (1868 - 1933) was an extraordinary thinker and synthesizer of ideas.  With her prescient approach to leadership, management and human relations, "she delighted in challenging distinguished academics to stretch beyond disiplinary boundaries." (They footnote Joan Tonn's intellectual history bio; Pauline Graham's great book: MPF: Prophet of Management; Benjamin Barber: MPF as Democratic Hero [gotta read this one!); the intro to the Penn State U version of The New State; and Malagar and Krieger's: Eduard Lindeman and His Agenda for Lifelong Education.)

I'm putting in the cites for all the academics onboard.  Warmly, Albie Davis (albiedavis@aol.com)

Good day,
I picked interest in you after going through your short profile and demanding it is necessary for me to write to you immediately. I have something very important to discuss with you, but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on (ronmorri01@gmail.com) for full details.
Best regards,
Ronald Morris.
